A debut to enjoy!
Lots of pop culture references make you laugh throughout the book, but it's simply her turns of phrase that had me laughing out loud--and I'm a tough sell in the humor genre. Always true to Sarah's voice, Turner lays out snappy lines, great dialogue, and amazing chapter endings that were simply perfect.

Hilarious Romantic Comedy!
I've heard so many good things about The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck, so I couldn't wait to read it. Believe the hype, y'all. It's fantastic. This book was a breath of fresh air, one of the best romantic comedies I've ever read, and so much fun!

Delicious Debut!
THANK YOU Bethany Turner for tactfully addressing the very real struggle of sexual attraction within a Christian romantic relationship. Christians don’t hide in caves- we very much experience the same desires as anyone else. Turner has set the record straight that these intense desires are not only normal but were created by God and can be shared between a man and woman within the boundaries that He has set.

“Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.”
The result is a well written, almost spookily believable, and at times uncomfortable read about someone presenting herself as a world class skater, Oscar-nominated actress and acclaimed screenplay writer with the ability to fascinate and influence a string of very good-looking, talented and successful men in sport, politics and film.

I’m a Christian woman stuggling live a God centered life in the real world just like Sarah Hollenbeck
We don't live in a sterilized world free of temptations like the Christian romance market seems to think we do. I love it that Sarah struggled to learn the lessons from her life before Christ. But more importantly, that both she and Ben, her Pastor and boyfriend, continue to struggle after she has accepted Christ. This is far more applicable to my life than a sterile version with everything being so "Godly", clean, and pure. That's not real. Sarah is real! Thank you Bethany Turner for writing to me, a Christian stuggling to live a God centered life in the real world!

Fantastic story – well written, well told.
I normally read thrillers so this genre is slightly outside my comfort zone. I'm glad I decided to give it a try. The writer's style is easy to read. Her narrative glides smoothly and effortlessly through the pages.

God, Drama, Love
The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck was by far the best book I have read. I was stuck to the pages like glue. I had to know what was going to happen next. Even when I finished reading, I wanted more of it. It was full of God, drama, and love. I am keeping it close by. This is a book that I know I will read again and again for many years to come.

Laughed. Gasped. Got mad. Laughed again. Loved it.
Sarah's internal (and sometimes external) monologues just clicked with me - the crazy connections our brains make, the pop culture references, the flights of fancy. I really want to hang out with her.

Debut author Turner has an incredibly unique voice that draws readers into the story and won't let them go until the gorgeous conclusion. ... The romance is both scorching-hot and completely appropriate, which is a difficult task to pull off, yet Turner does so amazingly.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love this series more…

Must Read!
I can’t wait to see what Bethany Turner writes next because she’s made me a fan for life. Sarah Hollenbeck has everything you want in a rom com. The heart stopping, cheek-splitting grins filled with quotable lines and happily ever afters. And the comedy…seriously epic! It’s a book you want to read again because it’s just that great. I’m praying someone turns this into a movie because it would be AWESOME!

The Kind of Book You Can’t Put Down
It's incredibly challenging to find comedy in a book, much less clean, faith-inviting comedy. Well, this book did it. At one point I even started to underline all the places that had humorous lines and had to stop after only two pages because I was going to end up underlining half the book.

Adorable. Witty. Romantic.
The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck is deliciously fun with a dreamy hero to boot! However, don't let the lightheartedness fool you. This story packs a spiritual punch! Bethany Turner is not afraid to be real, and she gently takes a spiritual salt stick to the open wounds found in the church and body of Christ today. Insightful and overflowing with grace, this novel will touch your heart.

I wish I were better at writing reviews…
I wish I were better at writing reviews so I could do this book justice. First off, I have to say, I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I love the voice of the author. I love the unique premise (seriously, I'm tired of reading the same plot over and over again). I love the humor in it. I love watching how someone stumbles around figuring out "how to be Christian." I love the bravery of the author and Revell (the publishing house) for stepping out of the "box" of Christian fiction and tackling an honest, real subject matter. *whispers* Guys, sex isn't a dirty word and we as Christians *can* talk about it. One of my favorite books of the whole year and one I will reread many times in the future.

First of all, this author has a two-thousand-year-old soul to be able to write such an incredible love story. It’s way ahead of its time with the enamoring feel of a Shakespearean classic.
